The 4th Graduate International Academic Exchange Forum Jointly Held by NCEPU and University of Regina
On the morning of May13, the launch ceremony of 'the 4th Graduate International Academic Exchange Forum' of North China Electric Power University (NCEPU) and University of Regina (UR) was held in NCEPU. Vice President of NCEPU Yang Yongping, Executive Vice Dean of Graduate School Zhao Dongmei, Head of International Cooperation Department Duan Chunming, Deputy Director of Graduate Affairs Department of the Party Committee Zhou Hua, and Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee in colleges and departments of attended this exchange forum. UR Vice President of David Malloy, Vice President of Graduate School of Dongyan Blachford and Professor Rod Kelln also participated in this ceremony. About 150 graduates from NCEPU, UR, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Renmin University of China and Central Conservatory of Music, took part in this launch ceremony. Yang Yongping, on behalf of NCEPU, extended warm welcome to the graduate delegation from UR. He points out that this forum provides a good platform of academic exchange and research display for the students of NCEPU, and hopes that the students of NCEPU can grasp the rare opportunity to actively extend and deepen exchanges with friends coming from afar.
David Malloy expressed thanks to the leaders and teachers of NCEPU for their support and help. A great achievement has been gained in the cooperation between UR and NCEPU, and both sides have made efforts to enhance the 'Shen Kuo Plan', he said. In recent years, teachers and students from two universities communicate frequently and learn from each other, establishing a profound friendship as well as acquiring knowledge.
After the launch conference, graduates at home and abroad discussed the topics of 'Humanities and Arts' and 'Energy and Technology' in two branch venues, respectively. In a free and relaxed atmosphere, graduate representatives made special reports on their own research, and all students were actively involved in sharing ideas and learning from one another, raising the atmosphere of the academic forum into a peak.
